Delete your data

You can ask us to delete your Lending Circle account and the personal information we hold about you. This page explains how to ask and what happens next.

How to ask

1. Message us on WhatsApp at +1 (876) 228-8988 from the phone number on your account.
2. Say “Please delete my account” and include the email address you sign in with.
3. We may ask you to confirm who you are. This stops anyone else from deleting your account.

We will confirm that we have received your request, and we will finish it within 30 days.

What we delete

If you have never had a loan with us, we delete your account, your profile, any documents you uploaded, and any loan applications that were not approved.

If you have had a loan with us, we delete your sign-in account and everything we are not required to keep. The law requires lenders to keep financial records, so we keep your loan agreements, payment records and the identity documents behind them for 7 years after your last loan is closed. We then delete them. While we keep them, we do not use them for anything else.

We cannot delete an account while a loan is still being repaid. Once your loan is closed, you can ask again.

If you signed in with Google, Facebook or Microsoft

Deleting your Lending Circle account also removes its link to your Google, Facebook or Microsoft account. We only ever received your name and email address from them.

You can also remove Lending Circle's access yourself. This stops you from signing in with that account, but it does not delete the information we already hold, so please also message us.

• Google: go to myaccount.google.com/connections, choose Lending Circle and remove access.
• Facebook: go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, choose Lending Circle and remove it.
• Microsoft: go to account.live.com/consent/Manage, choose Lending Circle and remove it.
